I thoroughly enjoyed this cooking course. It is clear that Damaris is passionate about Puerto Rican culture and cooking. Each dish is made with love. I enjoyed the conversation and laughs and most importantly yummy food/drinks. She was kind enough to recommend other great local spots and made sure I traveled safely with public transport.

We had such a great time at this experience, making and enjoying generous portions of delicious Puerto Rican food and cocktails. Damaris is an amazing host that is knowledgeable about both Puerto Rican food specifically and cooking in general, and she is such a joy to hang out with. Highly recommend this experience!

Damaris was SUCH a friendly and accommodating host. Her place in Astoria is the cutest little nook in a lovely neighborhood and it's clear that she's put a lot of thought into curating her space to be inviting and unique for both her guests & herself. Damaris made sure we were comfortable the entire time and allowed us to pick & choose the dishes we were interested in making. She obviously has such a deep love for Puerto Rican food and cooking and was equipped with such depth of knowledge for all that she was teaching us. My friend and I learned so much from Damaris about traditional PR dishes - she also shared with us all kinds of different ways we could make these dishes using ingredients that we might more commonly have on hand. The food we had was STELLAR (my favorite was the guava cake that we had for dessert) and the company even better :) Highly recommend this experience to anyone in the area, including other NYC locals!!!
